The History Program helps our students to build a foundation of knowledge as preparation for further academic work in history and related fields. Designed to expose students to various historical interpretations and the interplay of world, national, state and local events, coursework will explore the social, political, economic, constitutional and cultural trends that have shaped the world in which we live.

Our associate of arts degree graduates can move on seamlessly to many four-year institutions to continue their studies. Graduates with more advanced degrees then pursue professions such as museum director, archivist/records manager, librarian and historian, among many others.
