Become a Student Ambassador

Benefits

In addition to developing leadership, mentoring, and public speaking skills, Student Ambassadors attain valuable work experience, enjoy a more fulfilling college life, and earn above-average hourly wages. Most rewarding of all, Student Ambassadors have an impact on the ability of the students they serve to complete their degrees.

Qualifications

Student Ambassador Program applicants must be at least on their second term of enrollment at CSN, registered for a minimum of 12 credit hours in fall and spring, have earned a 3.5 cumulative grade point average or higher with 12 earned credit hours, and possess a valid NV driver's license. Preferred qualifications include ability to speak a second language (e.g., Spanish) and demonstrated previous public speaking experience.

Application Process

Applications are accepted twice a year, after fall grades and spring grades have posted. The due date is dynamic and will change with the academic calendar. Once a Student Ambassador position(s) become available via CSN's job posting webpage, students are asked to submit a cover letter, resume, and unofficial transcript.

Applicants will go through two sets of interviews (one group and one individual). Only applicants selected for a second interview will submit two signed letters of recommendation, a completed My Degree Plan that indicates the applicant's academic path from now through graduation, and next semester's schedule.
